"In his new Vatican environment Pope Roncalli sometimes seemed like a country pastor
out of his element. One day a visitor went astray in the many suites of rooms in
the Apostolic Palace and to his utter despair found himself in a hall whose walls
were covered with mirrors. At every turn he saw his own likeness, but no door to
escape through. Then with an ungodly creaking noise one of the gigantic wall-

Adult Faith Formation
Thursday April 26th marked the last evening of the program for 2011/12. During the course of the program we provided a variety of material which we hoped would stimulate discussion and reflection on the state of our personal faith development. The program Dogmatic Theology ran 6 weeks and beginning in January we presented 9 evening of engaging presentations.
As Bishop Mancini pointed out in his presentation on February 9th, Adult Faith Formation is a key component of the “New Evangelization”. During a meeting with the Bishop in preparation for his talk he asked if there was in fact any formation taking place as a result of our efforts at Blessed Pope John XXIII. The answer to that question is in the hearts and actions of those who have taken part in the program.
We are planning for the 2012/13 program. We have some ideas and would be interested in having feedback from members of the parish. Did you benefit from the sessions you attended? Are there individuals in the Archdiocese you would like to have present in the future? Are there programs or videos which you feel we should run?
Please direct your input to royoung@hotmail.com. We will review and make an effort to consider all input as we plan for the coming year.
Like every other ministry we are looking for new members.
